Institute of Explosives Engineers

Formed in May 1974, the Institute of Explosive Engineers operates with its mission "To promote the occupational competency, education and professional standing of engineers, scientists & practioners who work with explosives and provide consultative facilities for organisations and government departments within the explosives field."

The IExpE offers its members a professional qualification, advice on training Courses and Examinations, a Quarterly Journal, technical advice, the potential for networking with members around the world and an explosives ID Card. Its Membership is international and covers explosives users from all sectors of the industry including: demolition, explosives manufacturing, underwater excavation, mining, quarrying, EOD, vibration specialists, oil industry, forensic and research science, enforcement agencies, re-enactment, the armed services and special effects.
