Darren has over fifteen years of business information security experience, with broad expertise in providing hands-on leadership and strategic direction and development. Certified professional (CISSP, CISM) with a lively but disciplined approach to advancing secure business in global open-networked environments. He represents IBM on both global and UK external security forums, including; Information Security Forum, Centre for the Protection National Infrastructure (CPNI), and is the Large Vendor representative on the Executive Board of the Cloud Security Alliance. In 2010 Darren was nominated to sit on the board of the Jericho Forum, a leading international IT security thought-leadership association dedicated to advancing secure business in a de-perimeterized world. He has held a variety of security consulting and management roles, both hands on and senior leadership. In his current role of UK Security & Compliance Portfolio Leader for IBM, he is responsible for developing the security services portfolio strategy, overall brand competitiveness, portfolio lifecycle investments and working with marketing and sales to develop market penetration of solutions.
