Saima Mohsin is a freelance journalist based in the UK & Pakistan. She has worked extensively as a reporter & presenter on various networks and current affairs programmes across the globe.

Saima is the presenter of Horizons, Series 2 for BBC World News (2012). The programme features businesses around the world developing solutions for our growing global lives. Saima is also Special Correspondent for acclaimed news show Newshour with Jim Lehrer, on PBS in the USA. Her company, Media Matters provides media training, consultancy and production facilities.

In 2011 she produced & directed her first documentary, covered Osama Bin Laden’s capture & death for PBS, NBC, HDNet, Channel 4 and ITV Daybreak. Saima went on to present Channel 4 News alongside Jon Snow in London. She previously fronted Dawn News, Pakistan’s first English speaking news channel.

Saima is best known in Pakistan as the “Face of Dawn News”, Pakistan’s first English news channel. She moved to Pakistan in 2007 to help launch the channel, co-producing and presenting the flagship news programme. Her hard-hitting, no-nonsense style and commitment to balanced, impartial journalism led to NEWSEYE, becoming one of the most-watched programmes at 9 o’clock in Pakistan. Saima Mohsin asked the tough questions Pakistan’s leaders and politicians aren’t used to having to answer. She has interviewed key people involved in the region including Benazir Bhutto, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, British Foreign Secretary David Milliband, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi , U.S. Special Envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke and ISAF’s deputy Commander Lt. Gen J.B. Dutton.
